- Call the office to speak with our intake specialist. She will do a brief screening
interview and present it to Dr. Lynn to review. If he agrees to evaluate you as a new patient, the intake specialist
will call you and outline what you must do prior to your first consultation with Dr. Lynn.
______________________________________________________ - She
will tell you to first get a referral from your primary care doctor and prior approval from your insurance company which may
need to be done by our office. No appointment will be scheduled until you have done this.
______________________________________________________ - You
will be given an appointment time and date. Come at least forty-five minutes earlier to fill out necessary paper
work. If you arrive late, it will cut into your consultation time. This is your time, no other patient is scheduled for your
time slot.
If you are an adult seeking evaluation for possible ADHD, be aware that an essential part of your evaluation
may include the CNS-VS test which may be covered by insurance. Since treatment utilizes medications that are controlled
substances, no adult will be treated without the confirmation of a positive CNS-VS test. You can discuss the cost with
the intake person. ______________________________________________________ - If you miss your first appointment
and have not given this office 72hrs notice, you may not be rescheduled. If you have commercial insurance, there is an administrative
fee to cover the office time needed to get you scheduled. Time for new patients is at a premium. If you need to reschedule
your appointment, it may be weeks before you can be rescheduled.
______________________________________________________ - Bring
any reports from other doctors. Bring any psychological testing done before. Request that your prior psychiatrist send a copy
of records to this office. They can be faxed to 301-777-2906.
______________________________________________________ - Bring all
medications, vitamins, and herbal medicines that you are currently taking so that Dr. Lynn can review them.
______________________________________________________ - Although
Dr. Lynn accepts most insurances, ultimately the bill is your responsibility. His contract is with you to treat you, not the
insurer. On your first visit you are expected to bring proof of insurance with the insurance card. You are expected to pay
your copayment each visit or you will not be seen. If you have not met your deductible for the year, you will be responsible
for the full amount authorized by your insurer each visit till your deductible is met.______________________________________________________
- Follow
up visits, if Dr. Lynn agrees to see you for treatment, are scheduled at 15 minute visits. If you are late, you may not be
seen. Since Dr. Lynn's office time is at a premium, missed visits are charged for and will not be paid by insurance companies.
You can avoid this fee by notifying this office 24 hours in advance. At each visit you will get 2 reminders for your next
visit and we have instituted an automated calling service that will call your phone 2 days before your visit. Do not
call the office to ask when your appointment is.______________________________________________________
- Currently office
hours are between 8:00AM and 4:00PM, Monday to Thursday.______________________________________________________

office is wheel chair accessible and has two handicap accessible bathrooms.
