Dr. Robert Lynn has a unique background
of experience which he brings to his practice of psychiatry. Dr. Lynn trained in medicine at Bellevue Hospital in New York
and trained further as a specialist in cancer and blood diseases at the prestigious Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital Center.

a special interest in chronic pain management and the interface between medical illnesses and psychiatric illnesses. **********************************************************
He is currently one of the foremost psychopharmacologists in the region and treats a full spectrum of psychiatric problems
from attention deficit disorder in children and adults to anxiety disorders and depression. **********************************************************
Dr.Lynn stays current with the latest methods and medications by attending both national and international conferences in
his field.He has traveled through Japan,India,South America, and Vienna, Austria, Hungary,Czech Republic, Italy, England,and
Ireland. ********************************************************* His practice is limited solely to office practice and patients
from the surrounding states see him here in Cumberland, Maryland. *********************************************************
Dr. Lynn is a firm advocate of the role of religion in his patients' well-being. As an animal lover with four dogs and a cat
at home he advocates for the need for pets as an enrichment for life and even encourages patient's to bring their pets
in during their appointments. ********************************************************** His hobbies and interests include
photography. Some of his photos have won awards. He is also a gourmet cook and he has had some courses at the Culinary Institute
of America in Hyde Park, New York. He has trained with a famous Chinese Chef-teacher and two Japanese Chef-teachers He is
an avid gardener and relaxes by tending his oriental garden and Koi pond. He also studies foreign languages and has studied
Chinese, Japanese, and German with tutors. He also has had a weekly column published in the Keyser Mineral-Times. Dr. Lynn
is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology, CHADD( Children and Adults with ADD),and the International Society
for Bipolar Disorder and was recently elected an Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He
is currently an active member of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders,the Association of European Psychiatrists,
and an Affiliate member of the Austrian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His world-wide contacts enhance his up-to-date
knowledge in the field of psychopharmacology.He has recently had the honor to be elected a Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric
Association. He holds active licenses to practice in New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland. Over the course of
many years he has practiced in commmunity mental health clinics,VA hospitals, private mental health and community hospitals.
He also trained at Duke University to do Electroconvulsive therapy and TMS therapy.  |
